Project Priority Planning Process

ERCOT's annual project planning process ensures that projects are prioritized as part of the transparent system of governance. The project lists for commercial operations (CO), IT operations (IO), market operations (MO), retail operations (RO) and system operations (SO) are reviewed by the subcommittees; a final review is conducted by the Protocol Revision Subcommittee (PRS); and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) approves the final priority list. To ascertain fiscal responsibility, the Finance and Audit Committee reviews the list, and the ERCOT Board reviews the budget.
