NOTICE TYPE: M-A082021-01 NPRR

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR984 and OBDRR023 (Changes to ERS Standard Contract Terms)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: October 1, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: On October 1, 2021, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 984, Change ERS Standard Contract Terms, will be implemented; and Other Binding Document language associated with Other Binding Document Revision Request (OBDRR) 023, Related to NPRR984, Change ERS Standard Contract Terms, will be partially implemented.

Emergency Response Service (ERS) Standard Contract Terms (SCTs) will change from three SCTs to four SCTs starting in the 2022 ERS program year.  The 2021 ERS program year was shortened to allow for the coming change.  The last SCT for 2021 will be October 1 through November 30.  Changing the ERS Standard Contract Terms will allow the terms to better align with typical seasonal conditions and help optimize ERS procurement.

Please visit the Emergency Response Service page of the ERCOT website for documents associated with ERS.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The new Standard Contract Terms are as follows: December-March, April-May, June-September, and October-November

Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.

NPRR984 and OBDRR023 and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website.
