SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update: Rescheduling of Implementation Workshop for NPRR902, ERCOT Critical Energy Infrastructure Information

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has rescheduled the workshop to discuss the implementation of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 902, ERCOT Critical Energy Infrastructure Information that previously had been scheduled for February 25, 2021. ERCOT will host the rescheduled workshop on April 22, 2021 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM CDT. The workshop will be held as a Webex and is listed on the ERCOT 2021 Meeting Calendar.

NPRR902 clarifies parties’ responsibilities regarding ERCOT Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (ECEII). It defines ECEII, adds lists of items that are considered ECEII, specifies the restrictions imposed upon parties that receive or create ECEII, allows Market Participants to restrict individual access to ECEII within their organizations through the use of ECEII-eligible Digital Certificates, provides a framework for the submission of ECEII to ERCOT, and creates a process for contesting ERCOT determinations regarding confidentiality status. NPRR902 was approved by the ERCOT Board on December 10, 2019. 

It previously had been anticipated that NPRR902 would be implemented and the associated Protocol language would become effective during the 2021 Release 2 (March 30 - April 1, 2021). Due to the earlier postponement of this workshop from its previously scheduled date of February 25, 2021, the implementation date will be delayed.  ERCOT is currently evaluating the implementation date and will provide notice when it has been determined.
