SHORT DESCRIPTION: Exceptional Fuel Costs submitted for multiple Resources between February 12 and 16, 2021

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: February 12, 2021 through February 16, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION:  A Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) submitted Exceptional Fuel Costs for Resources as follows:

  • Four Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 0900 on February 12, 2021
  • Twelve Resources for Operating Hours ending at 1000 through 2400 on February 12, 2021
  • Five Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 2400 on February 12, 2021
  • Twelve Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 0900 on February 13, 2021
  • Eight Resources for Operating Hours ending at 1000 through 2400 on February 13, 2021
  • Five Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 2400 on February 13, 2021
  • Thirteen Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 2400 on February 14, 2021
  • Thirteen Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 2400 on February 15, 2021
  • Thirteen Resources for Operating Hours ending at 0100 through 2400 on February 16, 2021

Another QSE submitted Exceptional Fuel Costs for a Resource as follows:

  • One Resource for Operating Hour ending at 1500 on February 12, 2021

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to paragraph (1)(h) of ERCOT Protocol Section 4.4.9.4.1, Mitigated Offer Cap, no later than five Business Days after an Operating Day for which an Exceptional Fuel Cost is submitted, ERCOT shall issue a Market Notice indicating the affected Operating Hours and the number of Resources for which a QSE submitted Exceptional Fuel Cost for a particular Operating Day.
