SHORT DESCRIPTION: Retail transaction processing issues
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Retail operations
DAYS AFFECTED: November 16, 2020 and ongoing
LONG DESCRIPTION: The receipt and processing of certain retail transactions has been delayed due to an outage on systems belonging to a third-party service provider that processes transactions on behalf of Load-Serving Entities (LSEs). The entity experiencing the outage is not an ERCOT Market Participant or Vendor. At this time, the number of affected transactions is not definitively known.
ERCOT encourages all LSEs that utilize a third-party service provider to verify their transactions are being processed as expected and reach out to their provider with any required action.
ERCOT will provide more information with respect to the restoration of processing services when it becomes available.
