SHORT DESCRIPTION: New Pig Creek - Solstice (PIGSOL) Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: November 16, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: Based on the results of the Q2 2020 Quarterly Stability Assessment (QSA) performed pursuant to Planning Guide Section 5.9, Quarterly Stability Assessment, ERCOT has identified the need to create a new GTC in West Texas (i.e., Pig Creek - Solstice) due to the installation of new Generation Resources. The new GTC is modeled in the Network Operations Model as PIGSOL.

The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants about the need for the PIGSOL GTC. ERCOT will begin enforcing limits for this GTC on November 16, 2020.

Details associated with all existing GTCs (EMIL ID NP3-766-M, Report ID 11424) can be found on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Grid, Transmission page under the Generic Transmission Limits. A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS Secure Area.
