W-A090120-04 Reminder - Resource Integration and On-going Operations-Resource Services (RIOO-RS) November Release

NOTICE DATE: November 12, 2020

NOTICE TYPE: W-A090120-04 Operations

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Reminder - Resource Integration and Ongoing Operations-Resource Services (RIOO-RS) November Release

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: November 13, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will implement changes to the submission of Resource Registration data on November 13 using the RIOO-RS system. The RIOO-RS application release will include the capability to view and update existing Resource Registration data and is one of multiple releases for the RIOO-RS system that will replace the Resource Asset Registration Form (RARF).

Resource Entities will start using the RIOO-RS system on or after November 13, 2020 to make updates to their Resource Registration data, with the exception of updates to Combined Cycle Generation Resource configurations and transitions.  The capability to update Combined Cycle Generation Resource configurations and transitions will be available in December.

Any Resource Entity desiring to make updates to Combined Cycle Generation Resource configurations and transitions will be required to edit its existing RARF, and the complete RARF be submitted as an attachment via RIOO-RS.

Resource Entities will continue to submit RARFs for new Generation Resources, Settlement Only Distribution Generators (SODGs), or Load Resources as Service Requests through the Market Information System (MIS) in accordance with the current Resource Registration process.   A subsequent release of the RIOO-RS system will enable Resource Entities to submit data for new Generation Resources, SODGs, and Load Resources, and allow retirement of the RARF.

ACTION REQUIRED: Create a RIOO-RS account and start using the RIOO-RS system by November 13, 2020.
