SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update to the Generic Limits for the Nelson Sharpe - Rio Hondo, Lobo - North Edinburg Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC) and Creation of a new Valley Export GTC and associated Generic Limits.

LONG DESCRIPTION: Based on the results of the Quarterly Stability Assessment (QSA) for Q4 of 2020, performed pursuant to Planning Guide Section 5.9 Quarterly Stability Assessment, ERCOT has identified updates to the Generic Transmission Constraints (GTC) in the Nelson Sharpe - Rio Hondo and Lobo – North Edinburg areas. ERCOT has also identified the need to implement a new Valley Export GTC. These updates result from the installation of new Generation Resources in South Texas.

The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants of this update to the Nelson Sharpe - Rio Hondo and Lobo – North Edinburg GTCs, and the need for a new Valley Export GTC. ERCOT will begin enforcing the updated limits for the existing GTCs and the new Valley Export GTC on November 5, 2020.

Details associated with all GTCs (EMIL ID NP3-766-M, Report ID 11424) can be found on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Grid Transmission page under the Generic Transmission Limits Secured Area. A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS Secure Area.
