SHORT DESCRIPTION: Proposal to Retire Morgan Creek RAS

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) to retire the Morgan Creek Remedial Action Scheme (RAS).The Morgan Creek RAS is designed to monitor the 138kV lines from Morgan Creek to Barber Lake, the 138kV line from Morgan Creek to Sun Switch and the 138/69kV autotransformer at Morgan Creek. Oncor has indicated transmission system changes in the area, including an upgrade to the 138/69kV autotransformer terminal at Morgan Creek.

The proposal to retire the Morgan Creek RAS is being reviewed by ERCOT.

ACTION REQUIRED: Comments to this proposal are due to ERCOT by September 25, 2020 using the attached form.
