W-A090120-01 Resource Integration and On-going Operations-Resource Services (RIOO-RS) Initial Go-Live

NOTICE DATE: September 1, 2020

NOTICE TYPE: W-A090120-01 Operations

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Resource Integration and On-going Operations-Resource Services (RIOO-RS) Initial Go-Live

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: September 3, 2020 - November 12, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: The initial release of the RIOO-RS application will be made available to Resource Entities on September 3, 2020.  This release includes capability to view and update existing Resource Registration data and is one of multiple releases for the RIOO-RS system that will replace the Resource Asset Registration Form (RARF).

Resource Entities may start using the RIOO-RS system on or after September 3, 2020 to make updates to their Resource Registration data, with the exception of updates to Transmission Elements.  The RIOO-RS project will have a November 12, 2020 release which will enable Resource Entities to update Transmission Elements. This information was covered as part of the Resource Integration workshops in July and August.

Any Resource Entity desiring to make updates to Transmission Elements between September 3, 2020 and November 12, 2020 using the RIOO-RS system will be required to edit its existing RARF Transmission Form and attach it along with all other RARF forms to its RIOO-RS change request.   As of November 12, 2020, Resource Entities will be required to use the RIOO-RS system for all updates to their existing Resource Registration data.   At that time, ERCOT will no longer accept submittal of the RARF for updates to Resource Registration data.

Resource Entities will continue to submit RARFs for new Resources, SODGs, or Load Resources as Service Requests through the Market Information System (MIS) in accordance with the current Resource Registration process.   A subsequent release of the RIOO system will enable Resource Entities to submit data for new Resources, SODGs, and Load Resources, and allow retirement of the RARF.

ACTION REQUIRED: Create a RIOO-RS account and start using the RIOO-RS system as early as September 3 and no later than November 12.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Once a Resource Entity begins submitting updates using the RIOO-RS application, it may not revert back to the current Resource Registration process (submitting RARFs via the MIS) without notifying ERCOT via e-mail to RIOO-help@ERCOT.com.
