SHORT DESCRIPTION: Proposal to Modify Culberson Loop RAS

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: September 4, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) to modify the Culberson Loop Remedial Action Scheme (RAS).  Under specific system configurations voltage instability can occur. The RAS will automatically perform remedial tripping in response to the specific contingencies of concern based on the terminal status of transmission terminals within the Culberson Loop.

The proposed modification to the Culberson Loop RAS is being reviewed by ERCOT.

Comments on the proposal are due by September 4, 2020, and should be submitted to ras_cmp@ercot.com using the attached comment form. Any questions or concerns submitted by this date will be addressed by ERCOT or Oncor.

ACTION REQUIRED: Any comments to this proposal are due to ERCOT by September 4, 2020 using the attached form.
