SHORT DESCRIPTION:  New distribution list for Weather Moratorium notices

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  TDSPs and CRs

DAY AFFECTED:  August 1, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION:  At the direction of the Retail Market Subcommittee (RMS), ERCOT has created a new e-mail distribution list for TDSPs to notify Market Participants of a weather moratorium in specified counties due to an extreme weather emergency, and that disconnection for non-pay activity has been suspended in accordance with the Retail Market Guide Section 7.6.5.4 (2), Weather Moratoriums.

The new distribution list is: Weather_Moratoriums@lists.ercot.com.

The new listserv is only intended to be used for weather moratorium notices, and all other RMS related e-mails will continue to be sent to the RMS e-mail distribution list. 

To accommodate a transition, TDSPs will send weather moratorium notices to both the RMS and Weather Moratoriums e-mail distribution lists beginning August 1, 2020 through September 1, 2020.  TDSPs will discontinue using the RMS distribution list for weather moratorium notices effective September 1, 2020, and will only send the weather notices to the Weather Moratoriums e-mail distribution list.

ACTION REQUIRED:  TDSP and CR personnel who utilize weather moratorium notices must self-subscribe to the new Weather Moratoriums e-mail distribution list using the Subscription Management page for the new list prior to September 1, 2020.       

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Users must be subscribed to the new list, Weather_Moritoriums@lists.ercot.com, in order to send notices to the list.  When self-subscribing to the new list, an email from LISTSERV@LISTS.ERCOT.COM is sent to the subscriber who must confirm the subscription by clicking on the link in the email.  Check the junk email folder if the email is not received.  The subscription is not successful if the subscription is not confirmed within 48 hours.
