SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Reliability analysis determination for Nacogdoches Power LLC (NACPW_UNIT1)

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 16, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On May 19, 2020, ERCOT received the Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for the following Generation Resource:

• Nacogdoches Power LLC – NACPW_UNIT1

The NSO indicated that the Generation Resource will be seasonally mothballed beginning October 16, 2020.

Pursuant to the ERCOT Protocols Section 3.14.1.2.1, ERCOT Evaluation of Seasonal Mothball Status, ERCOT has completed its reliability analysis and has determined that this Generation Resource is not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability during the portion of the year when the Generation Resource would be unavailable and may suspend operations according to the schedule in the NSO.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT has posted the analysis performed to arrive at its determination on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area. An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
