SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Reliability analysis determination for City of Austin dba Austin Energy - DECKER_DPG1

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 31, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 1, 2020, ERCOT received the Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for the following Generation Resource:

• City of Austin dba Austin Energy - DECKER_DPG1

The NSO indicated that the Generation Resource will be decommissioned and retired permanently as of October 31, 2020.

Pursuant to the ERCOT Protocols Sections 3.14.1.2 (3), ERCOT has completed its reliability analysis and has determined that this Generation Resource is not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability and may suspend operations according to the schedule in the NSO.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT has posted the analysis performed to arrive at its determination on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area. An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
