SHORT DESCRIPTION: Upcoming deadline for annual NOIE unregistered DG report

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Non Opt-In Entities

LONG DESCRIPTION: The changes to the Unregistered DG Installed Capacity Quarterly Report implemented in Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 891, Removal of NOIE Capacity Reporting Threshold for the Unregistered Distributed Generation Report, took effect beginning with the 2019 third quarter report. One of the changes introduced by NPRR 891 is the creation of a new annual report that includes the aggregate capacity of all unregistered DG sites for the preceding year regardless of their individual capacity sizes.

NOIEs that have more than 2 MW in total of unregistered DG sites with less than 50 kW capacity must already report their aggregate capacity of all unregistered DG sites each quarter, and therefore do not need to submit an additional annual report.

NOIEs that fall under the 2 MW threshold for quarterly reporting should report their aggregate capacity of all unregistered DG sites as of the end of 2019 to ERCOT by March 1.

The NOIE Unregistered DG Reporting Form is attached.  The form includes detailed reporting instructions and a copy of the relevant Protocols sections.  The form, along with the Unregistered DG Installed Capacity Quarterly Report itself, can be found on the Distributed Generation page on the ERCOT website.

ACTION REQUIRED: NOIEs who are required to submit the annual unregistered DG report should do so by March 1, 2020.
