SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Mobile App Upgrade

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All ERCOT Mobile App Users

DAY AFFECTED: August 22, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has upgraded the Mobile App to a new platform in order to provide better performance and usability and eliminate bugs associated with newer versions of the iOS and Android operating systems . This upgrade fixed bugs encountered by users of many newer mobile devices. There are no new features associated with this release. However, users will see a minor difference in the Today's Outlook graph (icon and color). Additionally, the wording on the Grid Conditions graph has been updated to match ERCOT's latest EEA Communications Matrix.      

ACTION REQUIRED: Existing app users should go to their respective app store to update the ERCOT Mobile App. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The ERCOT Mobile App offers:

  • Current electric demand and operating reserves
  • Real-time wholesale prices
  • Conservation tips
  • News releases and other important notifications
  • ERCOT overview

New users can download the ERCOT Mobile App in the Apple Store for iOS devices or Google Play for Android devices
