NOTICE DATE: July 26, 2019

NOTICE TYPE: M-C072619-01 NPRR/SCR

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR925 and SCR798

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED: August 8, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION: On August 8, 2019, Protocol language related to Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 925, Increasing Minimum Quantity for PTP Obligation Bids, will be implemented.

This NPRR increases the minimum quantity that can be submitted for Point-to-Point (PTP) Obligation bids to one MW, from one-tenth of one MW, matching the minimum quantity for Energy Only Offers and Energy Bids.

System Change Request (SCR) 798, introduces a limit on the total number of PTP Obligation bids that can be submitted into the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) per Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) and per Counter-Party. The limit will apply to the number of bid IDs per Operating Day, and bids submitted after the limit is exceeded will be rejected automatically. ERCOT previously implemented this as a manual change.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.

NPRR925, SCR798, and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website.
