SHORT DESCRIPTION: Change in Posting Time of Solar Forecast Data and Certain Current Day Report Products

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: June 12, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 12, 2019, ERCOT will change the timing of when solar power forecasts are made available to Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) representing PhotoVoltaic Generation Resources (PVGRs) due to changes in timing of when these hourly solar forecasts are received by ERCOT from its solar forecast vendor.

QSEs representing PVGRs currently receive solar forecast data approximately 10 minutes after the top of the hour. As of June 12, 2019, these QSEs will receive solar forecast data approximately 50 to 55 minutes after the top of the hour.

In addition, the posting times for the following Current Day Report products will change to reflect the availability of solar power forecast data. Currently, these products typically post or update 10 to 31 minutes after the top of the hour. As of June 12, 2019, these products will post or update approximately 55 minutes after the top of the hour.

•      Solar Power Production - Hourly Averaged Actual and Forecasted Values (NP4-737-CD, Report ID 13483)

•      Aggregated Solar Resource Power Potential Forecast (NP4-739-SG, Report ID 13498)
