SHORT DESCRIPTION: Annual Constraint Management Plans Review

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities impacted by existing Constraint Management Plans (CMP) or those proposing new CMPs

DAYS AFFECTED: April 5, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is initiating its annual Constraint Management Plans Review, which includes Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), Mitigation Plans (MPs), Pre-Contingency Action Plans (PCAPs), and Automatic Mitigation Plans (AMPs). The study case that will be used for this review has been posted on the Market Information System (MIS) Long-Term Planning page in the Submitted Remedial Action Schemes (RASs) and Constraint Management Plans (CMPs) (EMIL ID NP3-614-M, Report ID 11419) Secure report.

Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Transmission Facilities that are impacted by existing CMPs, or that are proposing new CMPs, are requested to review this case and provide any comments and/or case updates no later than April 5, 2024.

Please submit any new CMP proposals for 2024 using the attached templates by April 5, 2024. If any submitted CMPs are developed using a power flow case that is different from the one provided, please include the case file along with your submission (in RAW or PowerWorld format).

All correspondence related to the 2024 Annual Constraint Management Plan Review must be sent to ras_cmp@ercot.com.

Note: Transmission Operators and/or Resource Entities with Bulk Electric System (BES) elements specified as a part of approved or proposed Constraint Management Plans are required to provide the Relay Loadability Rating for BES elements to ERCOT for the 2024 Contingency Management Plan Review. 

Existing Constraint Management Plans are posted on the Market Information System (MIS) Long-Term Planning page in the Approved Constraint Management Plans (CMPs) (EMIL ID NP3-59-M, Report ID 13021) Secure report.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Review the study case and provide any comments and/or new CMP proposals by April 5, 2024.
