SHORT DESCRIPTION: Weatherization Customer Service Management (wCSM) Training
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Authorized Representatives, Backup Authorized Representatives, User Security Administrators, and others involved in PUC weatherization rule compliance activities for Transmission Service Providers.
DAYS AFFECTED: April 11, 2024, 13:00 – 15:00
LONG DESCRIPTION: The ERCOT Weatherization Team will be hosting a Transmission Service Provider training on the new system for submitting declarations of Weather Preparedness on April 11, 2024, 13:00 - 15:00.
This training will include wCSM portal access, DoWP submissions, NOI interaction, communications with ERCOT, and cure periods.
ERCOT has developed a Weatherization Customer Service Management (wCSM) module on the ServiceNow platform. The software will be available via a new “ERCOT Weatherization and Inspection Market Participant Portal,” which will serve as a “one stop shop” for all required interactions between ERCOT and Market Participants associated with weatherization matters.
The wCSM will:
- Replace the DocuSign platform for submitting to ERCOT Declarations of Weather Preparedness (DoWP) by June 1st and December 1st each year.
- Provide an enhanced process for Notices of Inspection (NOIs) correspondence by providing a link in the NOI email to the Authorized Representative and Backup Authorized Representative. This link will lead the Market Participant to a digital form in the wCSM portal where it can respond with requested logistical information (confirmation, local contact info, PPE details, etc.).
- Provide a forum to ask questions regarding specific inspections, inspection reports, etc. by opening support cases.
- Provide a repository where Inspection Reports can be viewed, downloaded, etc.
- Provide a forum for submitting semi-monthly cure period progress reports if compliance deficiencies are identified.
Included below is the in-person location and virtual WebEx training details for the Transmission Service Provider training on the new system for submitting declarations of Weather Preparedness.
Additional Virtual Only Training Opportunities:
ACTION REQUIRED: A Market Participant’s User Security Administrator (USA) will coordinate access to the wCSM portal assigning required Roles to digital certificates.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This training will be available in person and virtually and will be recorded. Four additional un-recorded virtual-only training opportunities will also be available at the dates/times noted above.
