SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Board approval of Day-Ahead Market and Real-Time Market Price Corrections

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: January 10, 15, 17-20, 23, and 25, 2024 and February 28, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: On April 23, 2024, the ERCOT Board of Directors (Board) reviewed price corrections for two separate events that impacted the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) and Real-Time Market (RTM).  The first event was regarding incorrect ratings being used on certain transmission elements.  See Market Notices M-A020524-01 and M-A020524-02.  The second event was regarding an issue which resulted in the use of incorrect Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC) data.  See Market Notice M-B031824-01.

The ERCOT Board determined that prices were significantly affected and directed ERCOT to implement the appropriate price corrections pursuant to ERCOT Protocol Sections 4.5.3(6) and 6.3(7) for the DAM and RTM, respectively.

ERCOT Board approval of these price corrections necessitates the issuance of DAM and RTM Resettlement Statements. A subsequent Market Notice will be posted for the DAM and RTM resettlements in accordance with ERCOT Protocol Section 9.5.7.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The corrected prices are posted in both CSV and XML formats under the DAM Price Corrections and RTM Price Corrections sections of the Market Prices on ERCOT.com.
