SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT MOTE will be open for testing for Market Management Systems and Outage Scheduler Upgrade to Linux platform

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) and Transmission Service Providers (TSPs)

DAYS AFFECTED: March 26, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: As part of the Market Management Systems (MMS) and Outage Scheduler (OS) Upgrade to Linux platform project, ERCOT will migrate core MMS and OS to Linux platform from current AIX platform in the Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) after 17:00 on March 25, 2024.  MOTE will be available for QSEs and TSPs testing from March 26, 2024.

This upgrade does not have any impacts to MMS, OS, Market Manager User Interface (MMS UI), or Outage Scheduler User Interface (OS UI) functionalities. Current MMS UI and OS UI are not part of this effort as they have been running on Linux platform since July 26, 2023. ACTION REQUIRED: Starting from March 26, 2024, QSEs and TSPs are recommended to conduct regression tests by performing normal Market and OS submissions via 1) MMS UI or OS UI, and/or 2) API in MOTE.
