| Description: |
This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) provides for the definition of and posting of Generic Transmission Limits (GTLs) in Network Operations Modeling requirements.
|
| Reason: |
Although the Nodal Protocol descriptions of Network Security Analysis and Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR) Auctions reference the use of “generic” transmission constraints, Section 3.10, Network Operations Modeling and Telemetry does not provide for their definition and for limits on their use. Generic constraints are typically more limiting than a Transmission Element’s thermal limit and can have significant impact on Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs) when they constrain a solution. This NPRR provides for the modeling of these constraints and provides notice to the Market Participants through postings to the MIS.
