Date Posted: Nov 13, 2006
Sponsor: ERCOT
Urgent: Yes
Sections: 7.9.2.6, ERCOT Bus Average 345 kV Trading Hub; 7.9.3.4, Scheduling of Transactions Using ERCOT Trading Hubs
Description: This PRR Synchronizes the ERCOT Protocols to reflect the removal of the Northeast Congestion Zone in the Trading Hub calculations beginning January 1, 2007. As such, reference to the Northeast Congestion Zone in the Protocols is removed, and the calculation for converting transactions at Trading Hubs to existing Congestion Zones is revised. In addition, the calculation is adjusted to account for the fact that a transmission bus that was previously in the West Congestion Zone will be in the North Congestion Zone in 2007 (bus number 6096).
Reason: As a result of the annual re-designation of Congestion Zones pursuant to Protocol Section 7.2, CSC Zone Determination, and as approved by the TAC on September 19, 2006, the Northeast Congestion Zone is being folded back into the North Congestion Zone beginning January 1, 2007.
