Operating Guides

The Operating Guides, which supplement the ERCOT protocols, describe the working relationship between ERCOT and the entities within the ERCOT system that interact with ERCOT on a minute-to-minute basis to ensure the reliability and security of the ERCOT system. Specific practices described in the Operating Guides for the ERCOT system are consistent with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Operating Policies and the protocols.

Operating Guide Revision Request Process

Section 1.3 of the Operating Guides outlines the change control process established to announce, develop, revise and approve the Operating Guides. You may find documents related to Operating Guide Revision Requests (OGRRs) below. Use the OGRR template below to submit a request. Completed OGRRs should be submitted to RevisionRequest@ercot.com.
