Operating Guides

The Operating Guides, which supplement the ERCOT protocols, describe the working relationship between ERCOT and the entities within the ERCOT system that interact with ERCOT on a minute-to-minute basis to ensure the reliability and security of the ERCOT system. Specific practices described in the Operating Guides for the ERCOT system are consistent with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Operating Policies and the protocols.

Operating Guide Revision Request Process

Section 1.3 of the Operating Guides outlines the change control process established to announce, develop, revise and approve the Operating Guides.  Templates for Operating Guide Revision Requests (OGRRs) and other related forms are listed below.  For guidelines on submitting revision requests or comments, please refer to the Revision Request and Comment Submission Guidelines.  Completed forms should be submitted to RevisionRequest@ercot.com.
