Mike Packard

Mike Packard is the general manager of South Texas Electric Cooperative in Nursery, Texas. South Texas Electric is a generation and transmission cooperative that serves six member rural utilities.

Mr. Packard has worked in cooperatives for 36 years beginning at the age of 17 as lineman at Tri-County Rural Electric. Before joining South Texas Electric in 2000, Mr. Packard was employed as the manager of operations and engineering, assistant manager and general manager at Victoria Electric Cooperative (VEC). Before his employment at VEC, he was operations manager at Dickens Electric Cooperative, a design engineer for a Missouri consulting firm and a lineman for Intermountain Rural Electric.
