Michael Petterson

Michael Petterson was named vice president of finance and treasury for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) in February 2011, after having served as the controller in the finance department since March 2001.  

Prior to joining ERCOT, Mr. Petterson was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and a financial analyst with American Oil and Gas Company, and most recently business manager for the Lower Colorado River Authority, 1994-2001.  

Mr. Petterson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.
